Managing Episodic Disabilities is an online course for HR professionals that deepens understanding of episodic disabilities (conditions such as cancer HIV/AIDS, lupus, MS, some mental illness) and help employees living with such disabilities to maximize their work and life potential.
Brought to you by HRPA and the Canadian Working Group on HIV and Rehabilitation (CWGHR), this 15-hour, self-directed course will help you understand the impact of an episodic disability on:
- workplace participation
- earnings and disability income support
- accommodation strategies
You’ll also learn about relevant legislation and how to assess your workplace requirements in five key areas:
- Awareness and leadership
- Planning and sourcing
- Selection and hiring
- Staff development, and
- Creating an inclusive environment.
Once registered, you will have access to the course material for 10 weeks. The completed course is worth 22.5 CHRP recertification points.
